USA Sweeps Chargers 3–0 at Home
The Crandall Chargers fell in straight sets Saturday night at home, dropping a 3–0 decision to USA (25–23, 25–18, 25–20).
Crandall battled early, hitting .267 in the opening frame with 15 kills, but USA answered with a blistering .500 attacking percentage to edge out a tight 25–23 win.
USA maintained momentum in the second set, capitalizing on errors as the Chargers hit -.091 in the frame. The visitors used a balanced attack to build separation and take a 2–0 lead.
Crandall showed resilience in the third, recording nine kills and hitting .143, but USA continued to side out efficiently and closed the match in three sets.
Liam Rafferty led the Chargers with eight kills and two service aces, while Francois Benoit added seven kills and three aces. Connor Kirkland was efficient offensively, posting five kills on seven swings for a .571 hitting percentage.
Mico Guiao paced the offense with 23 assists, and the Chargers finished with nine service aces on the night.
Despite flashes of strong offensive play in the opening set, USA's .352 team hitting percentage and consistent execution proved the difference in the straight-set victory.
