Chargers Fall to Holland in Straight Sets
The Crandall Chargers were unable to find their rhythm Friday afternoon, falling 3–0 to Holland at the MCCE in Charlottetown, PEI.
Despite stretches of competitive play, Holland controlled the match from the opening serve, winning in straight sets 25–15, 25–20, 25–17.
Holland set the tone early, hitting efficiently in the opening set and forcing the Chargers into difficult offensive situations. Crandall showed improvement in the second set, increasing its attack efficiency and staying within striking distance before Holland pulled away late.
The third set followed a similar pattern, with the Chargers battling point for point early before Holland used a late run to close out the match.
Crandall generated its best offensive stretch in the second set, posting a .167 hitting percentage. The Chargers continued to fight defensively, extending rallies and working to slow Holland's attack, but were unable to sustain momentum long enough to shift the outcome.
