Chargers Open Weekend with Four-Set Win Over Dal Rams
The Crandall Chargers opened their weekend at the LAC with a solid 3–1 victory (25–18, 25–19, 26–28, 25–13) over the Dal Rams on October 25th.
Crandall controlled much of the match, taking the first two sets behind strong ball control and consistent offensive pressure. After a tightly contested third set went Dal's way in extra points, the Chargers responded with their most complete frame of the match, closing out the fourth set decisively to secure the win.
Offensively, Cole Wilson led the Chargers with 11 kills, adding 20 digs and providing steady play in serve-receive. Noah MacDonald followed with 10 kills, while Liam Rafferty added seven kills and continued to be effective at the net. Connor Kirkland chipped in six kills and a solo block, and Francois Benoit contributed five kills and two service aces.
Setter Mico Guiao guided the offense with 35 assists, helping Crandall total 49 kills on the day. Defensively, the Chargers were strong in the back row, recording 130 digs, led by Shane Huggard (30) and Jack Hillier (28), as Crandall extended rallies and limited Dal's transition opportunities.
Despite Dal's push in the third set, Crandall showed composure and depth, closing the match with a strong fourth-set response.
The Chargers will look to build on this performance as they continue their weekend schedule.
