Mount Allison Tops Chargers 3–1 at Home
The Crandall Chargers fell 3–1 to Mount Allison on Saturday evening at home. Mount Allison claimed the match in four sets, 25–18, 25–19, 23–25, 25–15.
Slow Start
Mount Allison controlled the opening two sets, taking advantage of early momentum and consistent attacking to build a 2–0 lead. The Chargers hit -.138 in the first set and .154 in the second as they worked to find rhythm offensively.
Crandall responded in the third with its strongest performance of the night, recording 15 kills and hitting .265 as a team to earn a 25–23 set victory and extend the match.
Fourth-Set Push
Despite the third-set surge, Mount Allison regrouped in the fourth, hitting .333 in the frame to close out the match.
Charlie Benoit led the Chargers with 16 kills while hitting .289. Jolie Allain added seven kills and three service aces, and Brianna Tingley contributed 9.5 points with seven kills and four total blocks.
Kallie Woodworth dished out 32 assists, and Amy Le Blang anchored the back row with 12 digs.
Crandall finished the night with 39 kills and 11 total blocks, but Mount Allison's balanced attack and steady serving proved the difference in the four-set contest.
