Chargers Sweep Highly Ranked UNBSJ at Home
The Crandall Chargers delivered an impressive performance on November 1st, earning a straight-sets victory (25–20, 28–26, 25–17) over a highly ranked UNBSJ squad at Crandall University.
Facing one of the top teams in the CCAA, Crandall set the tone early with aggressive serving and efficient offense. The Chargers controlled the opening set and showed composure in the second, fighting off late pressure and closing out a tight 28–26 frame to take full momentum into the break. Crandall carried that confidence into the third set, pulling away late to complete the sweep.
Charlie Benoit led the Chargers with a dominant outing, recording 17 kills on .519 hitting to pace the offense. Hailey Legacy added six kills on efficient swings, while Emma Visser and Jolie Allain contributed key points and steady play in transition. Brianna Tingley made her presence felt at the net with three solo blocks and strong defensive positioning.
Setter Kallie Woodworth guided the offense with 18 assists, while also contributing two service aces. Defensively, Amy Le Blang anchored the back row with a team-high 16 digs, helping limit UNBSJ's attacking opportunities throughout the match.
Crandall finished the match hitting .245 as a team, outpacing UNBSJ in both offensive efficiency and defensive execution. The Chargers also recorded five block assists and applied consistent pressure from the service line against the nationally respected opponent.
The win stands as one of Crandall's strongest performances of the season and a statement victory against a top-tier CCAA program.
