Chargers Push Mount Allison to Five Sets in Road Battle

The Crandall Chargers delivered a determined effort on the road but came up just short in a five-set thriller, falling 3–2 (25–23, 24–26, 24–26, 25–21, 6–15) to Mount Allison on November 15th at McCormack Gymnasium.

Crandall opened the match strongly, taking the first set behind efficient offense and steady serve-receive. The next two sets were tightly contested, with both going to extra points before Mount Allison edged ahead to take a 2–1 advantage. The Chargers responded with composure in the fourth set, forcing a deciding fifth, but Mount Allison pulled away late to secure the win.

Charlie Benoit led all Chargers with 15 kills, consistently applying pressure from the pin. Jolie Allain followed with 13 kills and 13 digs, providing a strong two-way performance. Hailey Legacy was efficient in the middle, finishing with 10 kills on .450 hitting, two service aces, and a block. Emma Visser added five kills and 14 digs, while Brianna Tingley contributed two kills and two solo blocks at the net.

Setter Kallie Woodworth directed the offense with 37 assists, while Amy Le Blang anchored the back row with a standout 24-dig performance. As a team, Crandall totaled 81 digs and five solo blocks, extending rallies and keeping pressure on Mount Allison throughout the match.

Despite the result, the Chargers showed resilience and depth, pushing a strong Mount Allison side to the limit in a competitive five-set road contest.

The Chargers will look to build on this performance as they continue conference play.
