Neleh McAloon Committed
Apr 9, 2026

The Crandall University Women’s Chargers basketball program is excited to announce the signing of Neleh McAloon, a dynamic point guard from Fredericton, New Brunswick. McAloon brings a high-energy presence to both ends of the court, combining relentless defense with an ability to push the pace offensively. Coach Thorpe describes her as "an elite ball handler and playmaker, who has fantastic court vision and is a consistent perimeter threat." Her skill set and competitive mindset are expected to make an immediate impact in the Chargers’ backcourt.

McAloon’s leadership and work ethic make her a natural fit for the program’s culture. She described her choice of coming to Crandall as a result of the team's "welcoming, close-knit community and its faith-centered environment, as well as the clear commitment to building a program where players challenge one another to grow and excel.” Furthermore, she added that "as a Christian, I felt Crandall would be a natural fit for me, especially coming from a Christian school background."

The Chargers coaching staff is thrilled to add a player of her calibre and character and as noted by Neleh she aligns closely with "Coach Jon's philosophies and the culture he is continuing to develop." Neleh is an important piece to the construction of the roster. McAloon’s ability to create opportunities for herself and her teammates will be a very valuable asset moving forward. She is expected to play a key role in shaping the team’s identity both on and off the court. We are thrilled to have Neleh join the Chargers this fall.
