Chargers Fall to Mount Allison on Senior Night
The Crandall Chargers wrapped up the regular-season home schedule Saturday afternoon, falling 78–56 to Mount Allison at Crandall University on Senior Night.
Prior to tipoff, the Chargers honored seniors Lauren Lilly, Ellie Hiltz, Kelsey Alward, and Tristan DesRoches for their dedication, leadership, and contributions to the program over their careers.
Strong Opening Quarter
Fueled by the Senior Night atmosphere, the Chargers opened the game with energy on both ends, building an 18–11 lead after the first quarter. Crandall moved the ball well early and applied defensive pressure that limited Mount Allison's scoring chances.
Mount Allison responded in the second quarter, outscoring the Chargers 26–14 to take a 37–32 lead into halftime, using offensive rebounds and efficient shooting to swing momentum.
Mount Allison Pulls Away
The visitors extended their lead in the third quarter, holding Crandall to nine points while pushing the margin into double digits. Mount Allison continued to build separation in the fourth quarter, closing out the game behind steady execution.
Senior Contributions
Kelsey Alward led the Chargers with 16 points, while Charity Hearn added 10 points and 10 rebounds. Ellie Hiltz chipped in 8 points, Lauren Lilly contributed 6 points and 2 assists, and Tristan DesRoches anchored the defense with four rebounds and a block in her final home game.
Crandall forced 22 turnovers and matched Mount Allison on the boards at 42–42, but second-chance points proved to be the difference.
