Chargers Fall to St. Thomas at Home
The Crandall Chargers were unable to find sustained offensive rhythm Sunday afternoon, falling 69–36 to St. Thomas at Crandall University.
After an even opening quarter, St. Thomas gradually built separation by capitalizing on turnovers and second-chance opportunities, pulling away over the final three periods.
The Chargers opened the game with strong defensive energy, matching St. Thomas 12–12 through the first quarter. Crandall forced early turnovers and generated quality looks, keeping the contest tight in the opening minutes.
St. Thomas responded in the second quarter, using an extended run to take a 32–21 lead into halftime.
Crandall continued to compete in the third quarter, highlighted by timely shooting from Charity Hearn, who finished with 8 points, and Meghan Fisher, who knocked down two three-pointers. Ella Smith added 6 points off the bench, while Lauren Lilly contributed on the glass with five rebounds.
Despite the effort, St. Thomas maintained control in the fourth quarter, extending the lead and closing out the game.
