The Crandall University Chargers women’s basketball program is excited to welcome Alexis Oehme to the team. Standing 5’10”, Oehme is a versatile player capable of contributing at multiple positions on the court. Her skill set includes strong perimeter shooting and the confidence to handle the ball in key situations, making her a valuable addition to the Chargers’ lineup. Head Coach Jonathon Thorpe believes Oehme will have an immediate impact, noting that “she is a natural leader who brings calm and poise to the court.”
Oehme chose Crandall because she wanted to experience something new, including seeing snow for the first time, and be part of a supportive environment. She explained that she was drawn to the university by its “warm-hearted team and welcoming community,” which she felt would be the perfect place to grow both personally and athletically. Her leadership qualities, combined with her ability to stretch the floor as a shooter, will add another dimension to the Chargers’ offense. Just as importantly, Oehme’s character and approach to the game make her an excellent fit for the strong team culture that continues to define the program. The Chargers look forward to the impact she will make both on and off the court.
