Chargers Close Out Weekend Split Against No. 1 St. Thomas

Less than 24 hours after pushing the top-ranked St. Thomas Tommies to a triple-overtime thriller, the Chargers returned to the court Sunday afternoon and earned a 97–81 victory at Crandall University.

After Friday night's exhausting 3OT contest, the Chargers showed poise and energy early, building momentum quarter by quarter and pulling away in the second half to secure the win over the nation's top-ranked opponent.

The Chargers came out sharp, leading 23–16 after the first quarter and maintaining control through a competitive second period. Crandall shot efficiently from the floor and moved the ball well, taking a 46–40 lead into halftime.

Crandall elevated its play after the break, outscoring St. Thomas 28–24 in the third quarter and continuing to stretch the lead in the fourth. The Chargers shot 52.0% from three-point range and finished the game at 49.3% from the field, applying constant pressure offensively.

Colby McIntosh and Luca Del Bosco led a balanced Chargers attack, while Dave Hutton and Ethan Culberson provided steady scoring and playmaking throughout the second half. The Chargers also won the bench battle 32–20, using depth to wear down the Tommies following the previous night's extended game.
