Chargers Control Home Court Against Mount Allison
The Crandall Chargers delivered a strong all-around performance Friday afternoon, defeating Mount Allison 83–66 at Crandall University.
Crandall set the tone early and never relinquished control, building a commanding first-half lead behind efficient shooting, balanced scoring, and consistent defensive pressure.
Fast Start Fuels Chargers
The Chargers came out firing in the opening quarter, shooting efficiently and jumping out to a 26–13 lead after one. Crandall continued to apply pressure in the second quarter, matching that output with another 26-point frame to take a 52–26 advantage into halftime.
Crandall's ball movement and depth were on full display in the first half, as the Chargers spread the scoring and capitalized on Mount Allison turnovers to generate transition opportunities.
Mount Allison Pushes Back, Crandall Responds
Mount Allison found some offensive rhythm in the third quarter, outscoring Crandall 21–19, but the Chargers answered each run and maintained a comfortable lead heading into the final frame. Crandall closed out the game in the fourth, limiting Mount Allison's looks while continuing to score efficiently to secure the win.
Balanced Effort Leads the Way
Jayden Johnson led all scorers with 18 points off the bench, while Luca Del Bosco added 17 points and nine rebounds. Colby McIntosh chipped in 13 points, and Caleb Rennie orchestrated the offense with nine assists.
Crandall finished the game shooting 52.2 percent from the field and held a 38–32 edge on the glass. The Chargers also forced 15 turnovers and converted them into 22 points, while their bench contributed 36 points in a decisive team effort.
