Chargers Drop Narrow Road Decision to UKC

The Crandall Chargers were edged 1–0 by UKC on October 4th at Wickwire Field, despite a strong defensive effort and standout goalkeeping performance.

The match remained scoreless through most of the first half before UKC found the breakthrough in the 41st minute, when Dimitri Kyriakakis scored off an assist from Luke Kotaska to give the hosts a 1–0 lead. Crandall responded after the break with improved pressure and organization but was unable to find an equalizer.

Goalkeeper Tim Leaman delivered an outstanding performance for the Chargers, making 12 saves while facing 13 shots on goal, repeatedly denying UKC scoring chances and keeping Crandall within reach until the final whistle.

Crandall generated three shots, all on target, with Samuel Acatincai, Ethan Cowan, and Wyatt McDonald each testing the UKC goalkeeper. Defensively, the Chargers held firm despite sustained pressure, as UKC finished with 14 total shots and 11 corner kicks.

Despite the result, Crandall's defensive discipline and goalkeeping kept the contest tight against a strong UKC side.

The Chargers will look to build on this effort as they continue conference play.
