Chargers Fall to Mount Saint Vincent in Defensive Battle

The Crandall Chargers were edged 2–0 by Mount Saint Vincent on September 13th at Mathieu Martin High School in a tightly contested defensive matchup.

The opening half remained scoreless for much of the period before Mount Saint Vincent struck twice late, scoring in the 42nd and 45th minutes to take a 2–0 lead into halftime. Crandall regrouped after the break and limited Mount Saint Vincent to no goals in the second half, tightening defensively and working to generate attacking opportunities.

Despite improved organization in the second half, Crandall was unable to break through offensively, finishing the match without a shot on goal. Mount Saint Vincent ended the contest with just four shots total, reflecting a disciplined defensive effort from both sides.

Goalkeeper Tim Leman and the Crandall back line held firm after halftime, preventing the visitors from extending the lead and keeping the match within reach until the final whistle.

The Chargers will look to build on their second-half defensive performance as they prepare for their next match.
