Chargers Drop Narrow 1–0 Decision to UNBSJ in Defensive Battle

The Crandall Chargers were edged 1–0 by UNBSJ on September 27th at CGS in a tightly contested match that remained scoreless deep into the second half.

Both teams traded chances through the opening 75 minutes, with Crandall holding firm defensively and limiting UNBSJ's opportunities despite sustained pressure. The breakthrough came in the 76th minute, when UNBSJ's Abdurahman Gadoura scored the lone goal of the match following a buildup involving Aidan Marcantonio.

Goalkeeper Tim Leaman delivered a standout performance for the Chargers, making nine saves on 10 shots on goal, repeatedly keeping Crandall within reach and turning away multiple high-quality chances. The Chargers' back line showed discipline and resilience, particularly in the opening half as UNBSJ pushed forward.

Crandall generated five total shots, with Wyatt McDonald registering the team's lone shot on goal. The Chargers earned four corner kicks and continued to press late in search of an equalizer, but were unable to find the finishing touch.

Despite the result, Crandall's defensive effort and goalkeeping performance kept the match competitive until the final whistle against a strong UNBSJ side.
