Chargers Earn Strong Showing in Multi-School Boxing Matchups
The Crandall University Chargers put together a competitive performance across a full slate of bouts, earning multiple victories against opponents from Trinity College, Ohio State, UConn, and the University of Cincinnati.
Crandall opened the card with a split-decision bout, as Joel Varughese battled Privi Satish of Trinity College in a closely contested matchup. Momentum swung firmly in Crandall's favor soon after, with Eduardo Ortiz and David Oksanichenko each earning referee stoppage (RSC) victories over Ohio State opponents, showcasing control and finishing ability.
Deniro Reiskerr added another win for the Chargers with a unanimous decision over Lucien Twizere of UConn, while Luke Whitton followed with a hard-fought split decision victory against Michael Dempsey from the University of Cincinnati. Jesse Frazee and Emilio Osorio continued the Chargers' success with unanimous decision wins over UConn and Cincinnati opponents, respectively.
Several bouts went the distance and remained tightly contested, including split-decision outcomes involving Sanil Shahi and Colin Hall, reflecting the competitive nature of the event. Despite tough losses by decision for Cameron O'Quinn, Liam Clark, and Drew Macklin, the Chargers showed resilience and depth throughout the card.
