Chargers Outshoot Dal Rams but Fall in Road Match

The Crandall Chargers delivered a strong attacking performance but fell 3–1 to the Dal Rams on October 9th at LAC Field, despite holding a significant edge in shots and possession.

Dal Rams struck quickly, scoring twice in the 35th and 36th minutes to take control of the match. Crandall responded immediately, as Sarah Schurman found the back of the net in the 37th minute with an unassisted goal, cutting the deficit to 2–1 heading into halftime.

Crandall controlled much of the play from there, finishing the match with an 18–4 advantage in shots and 10 shots on goal, repeatedly testing the Dal goalkeeper. However, Dal's keeper Gabrielle Hiltz turned in a standout performance, making 11 saves to preserve the lead.

The Rams added an insurance goal in the 90th minute, as Kelsey Oakley completed a hat trick to seal the 3–1 result.

Goalkeeper Molly Jensen made four saves for Crandall, while the Chargers also held a 5–4 edge in corner kicks, continuing to apply pressure throughout the match. Jamie Hicks, Jayden Groundwater, Taylor Fredericks, and Sarah Schurman were among those generating chances as Crandall pushed forward consistently.

Despite the result, the Chargers' attacking output and sustained pressure reflected a strong performance, with the match decided by efficiency rather than opportunity.

The Chargers will look to build on this effort as they continue their season.
