2014-15 ACAA MIDWAY RECAP

2014-15 ACAA MIDWAY RECAP

The Crandall Men's Soccer team has hit the halfway point of their 2nd ACAA season. With a record of 1-1-5 the Chargers currently are tied for 4th in the ACAA.

Sept.17 - CU @ UNBSJ
The Chargers had their first road game of the season as they faced the Seawolves - after a slow start and a late first half goal, Crandall found themselves trailing 0-1 at half.  The second half was dominated by the Chargers as they hit two crossbars, and won 6 free kicks in the Seawolves half, with high pressure.  This led to Fred Agbozo notching his 2nd goal of the season late in the game for a 1-1 tie.

Sept.20/21 - DAL AC & STU @ CU
Crandall hosted DAL AC and STU during their 65th Homecoming and with a huge crowd on hand Saturday, it was Victor Frohmann capitalizing twice, as he led the Chargers to their first win on the season.  On Sunday with the wind a huge factor, the Tommies were able to put one in midway through the second half.  Crandall was able to notch a late equalizer, with Frohmann heading in his third of the season in another 1-1 tie.

Sept.27/28 - CU @ UKC & MSVU
Crandall Chargers hit the road to Halifax for a double header as they looked to start the second half of the season.  Kings got on the board quickly on a blast from the 18 in the bottom corner, but it was Fred Agbozo with his 3rd of the season, equalizing on a corner kick to tie it 1-1.  Shortly after it was it was Brendan Short on free kick to put Crandall up, 2-1 from about 25 yards out.  It remained that way until UKC equalized it late in the game, to finish in 2-2 tie.   Sunday Crandall started the second half of the season in a rematch against the only team that has beaten them MSVU.  Once again the Chargers came out quick - with Jeremy Vincent scoring top cheddar within 5 minutes.  10 minutes later MSVU capitalized on a corner kick, and the game finished 1-1.
