HALIFAX, NS - Chargers Women?s soccer get their first win of the season on the road, taking down Dalhousie Rams 1-0 on Wednesday evening. The victory marks the first win in 685 days, granted last season was lost to Covid-19.
The loan goal of the match came courtesy of #14, Courtney Lutes in the 20th minute of play. Chargers Goalkeepers Maya Clapperton and Grace Dorey kept a clean sheet, stopping the one shot the Rams put on net.
?[The] Coaching Staff and Players are very happy to have finally gotten that first W of the season, especially after so many Ties. Although we may have left it a little late this campaign, we find ourselves in a position where we are not yet out of the Playoff picture and we need to continue these winning ways at UNBSJ on Tuesday night.? The Chargers will look to build upon their success after the Thanksgiving long weekend as they head out to Saint John for the rescheduled match with University of New Brunswick Saint John Seawolves on Tuesday, Oct. 12th.
